The name “Tuvilains” dates back to the Middle Ages, when farmers toiled on this land. Nestled at the foot of a hillside south of Beaune, the Premier Cru “Les Tuvilains” faces southeast, at an altitude of 230 metres, directly adjoining the renowned “Clos des Avaux” vineyard. Here, the Pinot Noir grows in brown limestone soil mixed with alluvial deposits, a composition that promotes opulence, crispness, and finesse. The nose brings notes of cherry, red berries, and delicate floral aromas, followed by a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the texture is full-bodied and silky, supported by refined tannins. An elegant, refined, and vibrant Premier Cru, in which the concentration of fruit is balanced by the freshness of the terroir. Already captivating with its smooth texture and aromatic brilliance, this wine also has the structure to develop a beautiful depth after a few years in the cellar.
