The name of this plot of AOC Bourgogne Sous la Velle describes its location below the village of Meursault. It sits alongside vines in the Meursault appellation. These 40-year-old Chardonnay vines are ideally located on the chalky land of Meursault, giving rise to a magnificent wine that is well-known to our loyal customers. The attack is more forthright and dense than with the other white wines produced at the estate, with a lot of richness and fattiness in mouth. It is beautifully complex and fruity, with buttery notes on the nose. This remarkable Bourgogne Chardonnay from Meursault is simply ripe for (re) discovery.
