Nestled in the commune of Meloisey at an altitude of 350 metres, the “La Perrière” plot is the historic birthplace of our estate, the first vineyard planted by Denis and Bernadette Carré in 1976. Right from the off, they committed to excellence by opting for low-growing vines at a density of 11,000 vines per hectare. On this exceptional south-facing slope, these vines – now 50 years old – thrive in an intense red, calcareous and iron-rich soil, whose stony nature gives the plot its name. By sinking their roots deep into the hard rock, the vines produce a wine with a precise structure, balanced by a subtle roundness. Exhibiting great purity, this Pinot Noir delivers an intense bouquet of red berries. Its vibrant profile, driven by a beautiful energy, is enveloped in immediate freshness and elegance, offering pleasure even in its youth.
