This cool-climate plot is located in Meloisey on the Hautes Côtes de Beaune at an altitude of 350 meters. La Perrière was the first vineyard planted by Denis and Bernadette Carré in 1976. These old Pinot Noir vines grow on very red, shallow ferruginous-limestone soil, with a lot of stones, hence the name. The vines face south and take root in the very hard limestone of the rock, resulting in beautiful structure and a very nice roundness. This red wine is full of energy, is well-structured, and very expressive on the nose. This Pinot Noir is bursting with fruit and offers a seductive elegance and freshness straight from its youth.
